Leitner Technologies – Lifts, snow guns, snow groomers and much more

Leitner Technologies traces its roots right back to 1888 when Gabriel Leitner founded a business that made agricultural machinery, cable cars, water turbines and sawmills is the south Tyrolean Sterzing in Italy.

n 1908 the first cable car was built between Bozen and Kohlern and, in 1947, came the first chairlift in the Italian Corvara.

In 1970 the agricultural machinery was replaced by snow groomers. Since then Leitner has grown and merged activities in order to be able to supply everything from lifts and snow guns to piste machines, transport systems for people and wind-power plant.

Leitner Technologies currently has an annual turnover of 700 million Euro and 2.700 employees.
